Mollaka, played by Sébastien Foucan, is a freelance bombmaker hired by Alex Dimitrios on behalf of Le Chiffre in the James Bond film Casino Royale.
Mollaka is encountered in Madagascar where he is being shadowed by James Bond and his co-agent Carter at a mongoose/cobra fight at an abandoned hotel. Due to a foolish mistake made by Carter, who constantly touches his earpiece to communicate with Bond that blows up his cover, he catches on and leads Bond on a high speed footchase through the jungle and through a construction site. At first, Mollaka takes cover behind a pile of pipes with his pistol drawn, believing he has given 007 the slip. He is mistaken; Bond has hijacked a bulldozer and uses it to plough through other obstacles in his way.
Mollaka fires at him but misses every shot. The bombmaker then races up the girders forming the skeleton of a building with ease, one in a series of stunts. Bond pursues Mollaka to the Nambutu Embassy, where he is an employee. Bond incapacitates Mollaka, holds him hostage when cornered by embassy guards. The attempt fails, and Bond then kills Mollaka with a bullet to the chest before escaping. Bond manages to steal Mollaka’s backpack that contains a bomb and cellphone which eventually leads him to Dimitrios in the Bahamas. When Bond “murders” Mollaka, the scene is captured on a security camera and the photo is splashed across front pages of newspapers in Britain.
