Teru Shimada, (November 17, 1905, Japan – 19 June 1988) was an acclaimed Japanese-American actor who was cast most famously as Mr Osato, a SPECTRE agent in the 1967 James Bond film, You Only Live Twice.
His film career began in 1932 with the Night Club Lady until his retirement in the early 1970s following a brief appearance in Hawaii 5-O. He also starred in 1966 Batman film as a Japanese delegate but was actually uncredited for his role. He appeared with Peter Lorre in the 1939 classic Mr Moto’s Last Warning.
