Mishkin, Dmitri
Tchéky Karyo as Dmitri Mishkin in ‘GoldenEye’.

Dimitri Mishkin, played by Tchéky Karyo, is a fictional character in the James Bond film GoldenEye. Mishkin is the Russian Minister of Defence.

Biography: When the GoldenEye satellite is stolen from the Severnaya space station and nearly the entire staff is murdered, Mishkin initially suspects that Bond and MI6 were responsible. His colleague, General Ourumov, convinces him that the atrocity was committed by Siberian separatists. In reality, Ourumov had committed the crime, working with Xenia Onatopp and Alec Trevelyan.

Later, when Bond and Severnaya survivor Natalya Simonova are captured, Mishkin interrogates them, still believing that they were responsible. After the interrogation, however, Mishkin learns from them that Ourumov was, in fact, responsible. Just then, Ourumov stormed into the room, demanding access to the prisoners, and Mishkin confronted him. Ourumov then assassinates Mishkin, and tries to make it look like Bond and Natalya had done it.
