Saida is a fictional character from the James Bond film The Man with the Golden Gun. She is portrayed by Carmen du Sautoy.
Biography: Little is known about Saida beyond that she is a belly dancer in Beirut. She previously had a relationship with Bill Fairbanks (aka 002). While she was in his arms, Francisco Scaramanga shot him. Saida took the bullet out of Fairbanks before the police arrived, and used it as her lucky charm.
When Bond decides to meet the person who Bill was with last, he meets Saida. He meets Saida because he needs to find Scaramanga, to stop him from killing him (though this is not true). Bond goes back-stage and attempts to take the bullet out of her navel, however Saida prevents Bond from doing this. As Bond tries different attempts, when he is about to take it out by using his mouth, he does, just as some thugs come in, Bond swallows it. After Bond defeats the thugs, Saida realises that she has lost her lucky charm, which Bond replies, “Not from where I’m standing.”
